Nicki Celozzi - TVFilm II, TV/Film Workshop

Nicki Celozzi covers all the creative bases as a filmmaker: Actor, Writer, Producer, and Director.  As an actor his credits include T.V. guest roles on series including “The A-Team,” “Magnum P.I.,” “Hunter” and “Walker, Texas Ranger,” a recurring character on NBC’s “Days of Our Lives” (recognize “Viper!”) and feature films including “Pretty Smart” with Patricia Arquette, “The Closer” with Academy Award nominee Danny Aiello, “The Lost Angel,” which he also produced, and “Quiet Kill” which he also wrote. A prolific producer (more than a dozen films, three of which he directed), and writer, he has just wrapped “Tales of an Ancient Empire,” is in pre-production for “20% Fiction,” and summer ’09 will find him in production with TNT & Warner TV, on a 6-hour mini series about the life of mob boss Sam Giancana.

He received Chicago’s prestigious David Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Entertainment Industry for a Person Under Age 35, the Southern California Motion Picture Council Award and the Silver Scroll Award from the Academy of Science Fiction for the film “Slaughterhouse Rock,” (as producer &actor.)

He is now spitting his time between his native Chicago, his office in L.A., and any place his films are shooting. Nicki is ideally positioned to help you learn the demands that film & series work put on an actor’s craft, both in auditions and on the set. His classes help you tap into honest emotions & connections, finding your individual center and creativity. With a Meisner & Stanislavski training background, Nicki finds that teaching acting fuels his own creative engines. As a proud member of actors' and writers' unions SAG, AFTRA, and WGA, some of his proudest moments have come when he has been able to see his acting students cast in his films or those of his coleagues, earning their own union status!

 
TV/Film II Tuesday 6:30-9:30
This on-camera class uses exercises which will help you learn to work more truthfully in the moment, build greater emotional depth, open up your personal awareness, rediscover and use your own personality, create your character’s reality, build the trust needed to work in truthful relationship with a scene partner. You will be using contemporary Film and Television series scripts in this work

The class atmosphere is supportive and challenging, and moves at a pace to encourage your growth. Under the guidance of working writer/producer Nicki Celozzi you will learn what is really expected of an actor on the set, and what directors are looking for during auditions.

Intermediate and Advanced level actors, Class may be taken multiple times. Teacher approval required.

TV/Film Workshop Monday 6:30-9:30
An On-Camera Scene-Study Workshop for professional and self-motivated actors.
The class atmosphere is supportive and challenging, leading you to develop your own best work Under the guidance of working writer/producer Nicki Celozzi you will learn what is really expected of an actor on the set, and what directors are looking for during auditions.

Using contemporary Film and Television series scripts, the class is focused on working truthfully and dynamically in the moment, building emotional depth, increasing personal awareness, living the character’s reality, rediscovering & using your own personality, opening up & forming truthful relationships.

This is a workshop – designed to be taken on an on-going basis for your continued growth.
Intermediate and Advanced level actors, Teacher approval or audition required.
