
Derrell Capes received
his MFA in acting from the University of Denver in 1975. Following his
schooling, he moved to Chicago, where he worked as an actor since 1978,
and is a vested member of Actor's Equity Association. He is also a
Resident Playwright at Chicago Dramatists, and has had plays produced
around the country. Most recently, his short play, "Dictionary Guy,"
which had its world premier at Act One Studios in the 2002 Student
Spring Play Festival, was produced in the Summer Shorts Fest at Cedar
Lane Theatre in Bathesda, Maryland, and his "Endangered" was part of Stage Left's Leapfest 2007.
