Dan Flannery's recent theater credits include Village Players' premiere production of "Book of Leaves" and Stage Left Theratre's premiere of Margaret Lewis' "Fellow Travellers". Other Chicago credits include Steppenwolf's mainstage production of William Saroyan's "The Time of Your Life." He has also played Atticus Finch in Collaboraction Theatre's production of "To Kill a Mockingbird". Other theatre credits include, "A Man for All Seasons," "The Fantastiks," "Beckett," and "Mr. Roberts." He has completed shooting and is editing his first film, a short, shot on digital video. He used, primarily, former Act One Students. Dan has a wide range of on-camera experience. He can be seen as Dr. Gibbons in the David Lynch film, "The Straight Story" and he's also in the Nicholas Cage film, "The Weatherman". An independant film that Dan is in was recently shown at and was nominated for Best Picture in the African American Film Festival in Miami, FL. The film is entitled, "The Engagement: My Phamily Barbeque 2". A recent television role was as the head of the CIA in the Chuck Norris CBS movie of the week, "The President's Man." Other television credits include "ER," "The Untouchables," "Crime Story," "Jack & Mike," and "Unsolved Mysteries." Commercial credits include McDonald's, Northwest Airlines, and Sears, among others. Industrial film work has been for many companies such as Abbott Laboratories, United Airlines, State Farm Insurance, and Eli Lily.

Dan has been teaching on-camera at Act One for over 16 years.
