Act One teaches "anything-but-generic" on-camera classes. Our
classes are divided into specific courses of study because each type of
work (Commercials, Film, Television, Industrial Film) is a unique
industry. Actors need specific knowledge and techniques to master the
skills and style each one demands. Act One instructors are specialists,
successful in the specific areas they teach. Limited to 8 or 10
students per three hour class, you can count on lots of individual
attention.

Just as a dancer or a singer works their
"instrument" on a daily basis, an actor's body & voice need
training to develop agility, range and strength. Ask any director,
"What makes professionals stand out from the pack?" Their unrestricted
body and voice are able to respond to the artist’s creative imagination
in a natural, integrated fashion, informing character choices honestly,
expressively, and in the moment. Act One offers you carefully selected
instructors and methods to help you develop your individually
expressive body and voice.
